It would be much more fun to have a vertical loop that you have to drive really fast into and make sure you keep the speed throughout so that you don't fall on your head. This makes for cool visual effects - the whole world turns sideways as you drive on the wall - but that's it. You keep driving as usual, no extra thrill. But it will make a funky looking Escher track :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2173387258524335875.post-22367231158842098992014-08-05T02:02:07.908+02:002014-08-05T02:02:07.908+02:00Loop-the-loops have been possible for a long time,...Loop-the-loops have been possible for a long time, but no track ever used it (afaik, except for a physics test track). The intention of this project is to allow karts to drive on the wall or ceiling to allow more interesting track designs and effects. Some new tracks (e.g. codename 'chocolate') already use it in our development version.Hikerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17747820235024361669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2173387258524335875.post-72929956530649443912014-08-04T20:36:50.709+02:002014-08-04T20:36:50.709+02:00I think he asks if you will fall when your are sto...I think he asks if you will fall when your are stopped at the top of a looping, or not.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2173387258524335875.post-15017087546651585302014-08-04T18:30:46.041+02:002014-08-04T18:30:46.041+02:00Yes you are right that the gravity now follows the...Yes you are right that the gravity now follows the drive line orientation. These changes affect karts in all game modes. Apart from that, the gameplay in arenas is unaffected. There is however a Battle mode AI that has been made but it needs some more work ;)

There is nothing special that the track designers have to consider to use the new feature. The AI is designed to handle any kind of track. However the driveline requirements are a little more strict now. This will be updated in the driveline wiki page.
nixthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02413099928931197336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2173387258524335875.post-80483588664570850752014-08-02T14:52:35.891+02:002014-08-02T14:52:35.891+02:00A propos track designers.
